Carolan Gail Norris, Rhode Island – 2011

Between 1983 and 2008, Carolan Norris was the head coach of field hockey and women’s lacrosse at Brown University. Currently she is an Associate Athletic Director at Brown and one of her main goals is: “I make sure every day that the women are represented when decisions are being made!”

As a successful coach, Carolan has been selected as Northeast Field Hockey Coach of the Year (1991) and Northeast Region Lacrosse Coach of the Year (1997). She has coached in the Olympic Development Program for field hockey and is on the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Ethics Committee.
