Elsie L. Weiser, Vermont – 2004
Elsie has officiated basketball since 1951. She holds a national rating from DGWS and is currently involved in IAABO where she served as the chair of the Women’s Coordinating Committee for 8 years and served on two other committees. She has coached field hockey at the high school level, coached basketball and softball at both the high school and college lever, and officiated at both the high school and college level in field hockey, basketball, and softball. Elsie served as the Title IX Coordinator for the Wyndham Northeast Supervisory Unit, Wyndham, Vermont.
Her league affiliations include NAGWS as a basketball official and the IAABO Vermont Board. She held a NAGWS National Honorary Basketball Rating until they no longer rated officials and currently holds an IAABO basketball rating.
Elsie was an inductee into the first Vermont Principal’s Association Hall of Fame, class of 2003, in recognition of her contributions to officiating.
