Patricia Robinson, Maine – 2005
Since retirement from teaching at the University of Connecticut, Patricia has been affiliated with the American Red Cross.
During her career at the University of Connecticut (1953-1965), she coached field hockey, basketball, and softball. She holds local, national, and national honorary basketball ratings. She also has a local field hockey rating and a national volleyball rating. As a part of her teaching, Patricia trained her students to officiate and held clinics in basketball and field hockey, serving as a judge for ten years.
Her league affiliations include membership in AAHPERD/Division for Girls and Women’s sport for 24 years. During that time she served as the DGWS basketball chairperson and was a member of the Women’s National Officials Rating Committee.
Team records are not available as they were not kept during the years when she was active in coaching.
Patricia is currently teaching swimming at a local elementary school. She also conducts fitness classes for older women.
